WCH and Meta Housing celebrated the grand opening of Cotton’s Point Senior Apartments in San Clemente, CA. The 76 unit affordable housing community serves seniors aged 62 and older, and was named Senior Housing Project of the Year by the Southern California Association of Non-Profit Housing (SCANPH). The community received this distinguished award because of the extensive services it offers to older adults with serious mental illness and/or a long term chronic health condition, its stunning design and construction, and the partners’ endurance and triumph over a challenging financing structure and vocal NIMBY Sentiment within elements of the San Clemente Community.Community amenities include a large community courtyard with two adjacent community rooms to encourage social interaction, a fitness center, tech room, numerous seating areas, a putting green, and a barbeque grilling station. Residents also have access to many complimentary classes and services that focus on learning, wellness and creativity.

Ramona Park Apartments
(Long Beach, CA)

WCH and Palm Communities hosted the grand opening of Ramona Park Apartments, a 60 unit affordable community serving low and very-low income residents aged 55 and over in Long Beach, CA. Residents have access to sitting and reading areas, swimming pool, outdoor fireplace, laundry facilities and a clubhouse with a kitchen, library, gym, computer room and entertainment space. Complimentary classes and services are offered, focusing on counseling, social engagement, computer literacy, and personal financial management.
All buildings comply with Long Beach green building standards as well as meet the minimum certifications standard set by LEED. The community also supports the city’s work to revitalize the Artesia corridor by bringing vitality to the neighborhood and supporting local businesses.

Coral Mountain Apartments
(La Quinta, CA)

WCH and KD Housing Partners hosted the grand opening of Coral Mountain Apartments, a 176 unit affordable family community in sunny La Quinta, California. Residents have access to a state-of-art computer lab, swimming pool, outdoor BBQs, children’s play ground, laundry facilities and a clubhouse with a kitchen, library, workout equipment and entertainment space. The property includes energy efficiencies throughout it construction, including the use of roof top solar panels on the car ports. Free classes and services are offered for residents focusing on social development, computer literacy, and personal financial management. The community is comprised of two and three story walk-up buildings which all comply with La Quinta’s green building standards as well as meet the minimum certifications standard set by LEED.
