Courson Arts Colony WestCourson Arts Colony West groundbreakingThe groundbreaking for Courson Arts Colony West, an arts-focused affordable housing community for veterans and families was celebrated on July 26, 2017 kicking off development for the highly anticipated second phase of a two phase development project in Palmdale. The first phase, CAC East, has already started construction. Courson Arts Colony West will be developed as an 80-unit affordable apartment community comprised of 40 units that will serve veterans with special needs and the remaining 39 units will be targeted for low-income families.

Courson Arts Colony East will be an 81 unit affordable family community located at the Southeast corner of East Avenue Q11 and 10th Street in East Palmdale, California, comprised of 34 studio units, 8 one-bedroom units, 13 two-bedroom units, 26 three-bedroom units and 1 two-bedroom manager’s unit with rents affordable to low-income households earning 23-50% AMI. Of the Community’s 81 units, twenty (20) have been reserved by the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services (“DHS”) for low-income families and persons who are chronically homeless, have mental illnesses, and/or who are physically disabled. Those tenants will receive rental assistance and supportive services paid for by DHS.

127th Street Apartments (Los Angeles, CA)127th Street Apartments

Development has started on 127th Street Apartments, a project between WCH and Meta Housing Corporation, for affordable special needs housing comprised of 84 studio and one-bedroom units and 1 two-bedroom manger’s unit designed for single adults that are chronically homeless and mentally disabled with extremely low incomes. The community is located in the Harbor Gateway Community Plan of the City of Los Angeles.

WCH and Meta Housing Corporation broke ground on a 75 unit affordable apartment community serving special needs families and chronically homeless Veterans in Los Angeles, CA. The project is comprised of 37 studio and one-bedroom units, 14 two-bedroom units, and 23 three-bedroom units with 1 two-bedroom manger’s unit. The community is located in the Harbor Gateway Community Plan of the City of Los Angeles.
